Explosive Products
K2 sells materials from the five families of explosives, as well provides training utilizing Homemade Explosives (HME) such as Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP) or Hexamethylene Triperoxide Diamine (HMTD).

K2’s licenses and certifications allow us to procure explosive products tailored to our Clients’ needs—if the product isn’t in-stock at our North Carolina facility, we will work to ensure it’s delivered in a cost-effective and efficient timeline.

History of Performance
K2 is currently contracted with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide explosive material of varying components and amounts.

K2 successfully supported the U.S. Marine Corps Improvised Explosive Device Detector Dog
(IDD) contract for over 5 years by providing, storing and handling canine training aids and all aspects of canine handler instruction.

Throughout our history, K2 has supported the Department of Defense (DOD) through multiple contracts, including air show support,
unexploded ordnance (UXO) disposal support, canine odor imprinting, and research,
development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) support.

Made-To-Order Canine Scent Kit

In K2’s Canine Scent Kit, each item is placed in our high-quality, custom-designed case and handled with the utmost care to prevent odor cross-contamination. Scents are either contained in an easy-access glass jar and secured with a plastic lid to prevent corrosion—or inserted into an anti-static resealable bag. Each item is labeled to make identification easy and accurate.

Each standard Canine Scent Kit is equipped with 22 individual odors. To ensure each kit meets the needs of the mission, Clients have the ability to select and personally customize the odors. The Canine Scent Kit provides maintenance and training for explosive detections canines, including standard explosives, chlorates, with the addition of Homemade Explosive components. Smaller size kit available upon request.
