Bennet Sacolick, Chief Strategy Officer
As the Chief Strategy Officer, Lieutenant General Bennet Sacolick, Ret., designs, disseminates, executes and sustains the strategic initiatives designed to promote K2’s financial growth.
Bennet began his United States Army career enlisting as a Private in 1981 and retired 35 years later as a Lieutenant General. He completed his career in July 2016 as the Director for Strategic Planning at the National Counterterrorism Center, where he wrote and assessed National Security Strategies, and provided policy recommendations on behalf of the White House and National Security Council.
Bennet is a career Special Forces Officer who has extensive experience in analyzing and providing innovative solutions to complex strategic problems. He has been involved at the highest levels of government in the development, implementation, and assessment of national counterterrorism and countering violent extremism strategies, has led multiple inter-agency planning efforts resulting in Presidential Directives and Executive Orders, and directed the talent management and development efforts of the entire Special Operations community creating the most comprehensive advanced education and training programs in their history.
As a career Special Forces Officer, LTG Sacolick commanded at every level, from detachment through division, to include commanding the Army’s most elite fighting force, 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force), and the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, the Army’s Special Operations Center of Excellence. LTG Sacolick served as the first Deputy Director for Defense at the Central Intelligence Agency’s Counter Terrorism Center and created the Directorate of Force Management & Development at Headquarters, United States Special Operations Command, where he managed a multi-million-dollar comprehensive health and wellness program and directed the talent development efforts of approximately 66,000 U.S. Special Operations Forces.
LTG Sacolick has conducted operations in more than 35 countries, spanning 4 continents. He participated in combat operations in El Salvador, Peru, Colombia, and Named Operations; JUST CAUSE (Panama), DESERT STORM (Middle East), TF RANGER (Somalia), JOINT ENDEAVOR (Bosnia), ENDURING FREEDOM (Afghanistan), and IRAQI FREEDOM (Middle East).
LTG Sacolick’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from San Francisco State University, a Master’s in Administration from Central Michigan University and completion of the National Clandestine Services Graduate Studies program while serving as an Army Fellow at the Central Intelligence Agency.
LTG Sacolick is currently the Vice President of the Special Forces Charitable Trust, a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to the sole proposition of taking care of our Special Forces Soldiers and their families. Bennet and his wife, Joyce, enjoy travel, biking, hiking, exploring and basically anything outdoors. They are happily married and live in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
